Therefore, it’s not through graven images or work of man that we should worship or idolize God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), “No idolater can inherit the kingdom of God.” Idolatry is a grievous sin against God. .Today thousands of Filipinos joined the feast of the Black Nazarene. It’s so appalling to see these people worshipping this graven images who they taught is God.
Had God not said in Exodus 20: 3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.4.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Jeremiah 10: For the customs of the peoples are delusion; Because it is wood cut from the forest, the work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers so that it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field are they, and they cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them, for they can do no harm, nor can they do any good. Every man is stupid, devoid of knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols’ for this molten images are deceitful, and there is no breath in them. They are worthless, a work of mockery; in the time of their punishment they will perish.
It says, that Jesus saves us. When I was young, I kept asking myself, what was Jesus saving us from? Now, that I come to read His words and come to know Him, I know what Jesus is saving us for.
We were slave into sins that makes us chain to it and eventually leads us to a difficult situations. People becomes depress and sometimes commit suicide for these difficult situations. Did you know that sins, separates us from God which leads you to DEATH. The word “Death” here, means separation from God and which means , Hell. Hell, as some people believes, is the difficulties they are experiencing on earth. However, that is not what it says in the scripture. Hell is a real place and which was mentioned by Jesus many times during His ministry on earth.
So, Jesus, who is the Word of God, became a being in flesh as man, and live with us. He came to show man, that there is such thing as Heaven: to have life with Him to those who are saved and, Hell: to be totally separated from God and be in horrible place with sea of fire. However, the good news, is that there is hope in all any difficult situation that will keep us away from sins and eventually from hell.
Through Jesus, we can all have freedom that saves us from bondage of poverty, addiction, illness, generational curse, cruelty, deception, treachery, etc., and eventually saves us from Hell.
How can we be saved through Jesus? We must ask forgiveness for our sins to our Lord Jesus and make Him your Lord and Savior of Life. It doesn’t end through in those simple things, but once you have Jesus in life, you will eventually will be walking with Him in His righteousness. If you do, then you are sure save through Jesus Christ.
One of the dominant religion in the country believed that if we pray the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be many times or more and be baptized and confirmed in the church, and follow all the church traditions, you will be saved. But that is not what the Bible says to be saved. Good deeds will not saved you either. It’s only through Jesus Christ who gave His Blood and Life to the cross to save people, that we are saved. So those people who come to Him and make Him savior and Lord of life will be saved.
These are what the bible says about salvation through Jesus Christ:

Then we will be with the Lord forever.

He will come with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from his glorious power. When he comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people—praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.
Hebrews 5:8-9 Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.

Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me. Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized.

With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.
Hebrews 9:14-15 Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.
Hebrews 9:24-28 For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands, which was only a copy of the true one in heaven. He entered into heaven itself to appear now before God on our behalf. And he did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal. If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
1 John 2:1-2 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father.
