The Real Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is gift giving, because Jesus Christ gave His blood for us as a gift and the reason for the Christmas celebration. It’s the greatest gift that a man can receive without men realizing it. However, Santa Claus became the reminder of gift giving , instead of Jesus.

The Deceiver(Satan) had done things to celebrate Christmas on his own way, so that the true meaning of the celebration will be centered not on Jesus , but of worldly material thing, which is ruled by Satan. Santa Claus came over in replacement of Jesus Christ -the gift of life and the former , the material or worldly gift, which is happening around the world.

Most people also write Christmas as Xmas for abbreviation or shortening it. For whatever information does it mean to have X on Christmas, I personally do not agree with it. X means death or removing of Christ in the mas or mass which means sacrificial offering. Sacrificial offering is the offering of blood for others which Jesus did on the cross for our salvation. This could mean a blasphemy for me or a happy taunting of Santa Claus when he said, “ho ho ho, merry Christmas”. It’s like he’s happy with the death of Jesus Christ. Or am I just too doubtful of peoples’ mind.

Christmas might be originated from the pagans, who do not believe in our God, it must be the mind of the deceiver that made it that way, so that people will be deceived. As I always said, Deception is a half truth and a half lie.

I love to celebrate Christmas, but thinking how most people celebrated it, and thinking how the Deceiver used it to deceive people, it’s so sad that most people does not realize the real meaning of it.

So, it’s not Santa Claus that is coming to town, but Jesus is !

The Power of words through Faith

Proverbs 6:2 2  you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth

Word is powerful: It can kill you or bless you. They say that the solution to any problem is just right under your nose, which is the mouth. We just have to proclaim it and believe in it.

Remember that God created things through Words as in :Genesis 1 33  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Jesus said in: Mark 11: 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Jesus is implying that word is powerful, but it can only be done with faith. so, we must speak in faith for the word to become reality. However, there is no man who has such huge or great faith such as God that there is nothing impossible. Human has limited faith and which faith is given by God.

However, Jesus said in Luke 17: 6 6  He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

In Roman  10: 9  If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The word saved here means saved from everything : illnesses, poverty, addiction, relationship problem or any situation that you would want a way out, and the last saved from fires of hell. When Jesus gave Himself to the cross, we indeed receives these bountiful graces. See below verses of God’s bountiful grace aside from salvation.

Hebrews 4:14-16,  14  Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  15  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  16  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hindi ba’t kasabihan na kapag nagsalita ka ng negative , it happens. However, even if you say negative things , but within the realm of your mind is not what you meant, it will still not happen… because mind and words goes together to have its effect. It’s like saying without thinking. If you say it and mean it, there goes the effectiveness of what you declare. Therefore , if we declare things we desire and claimed it to happen….just have to wait to make it happen because God said we need to say it with faith.

Example : Your doctor found illness in you. Your tendency is to think of that illnesses and your focus will be on it. The mind which we base our faith, if we keep it busy and focus on other things and coupled it with God’s word will eventually lose it.

SUGGESTION : Have a daily declaration of God good things in your life in Jesus name.
