The Power of words through Faith

Proverbs 6:2 2  you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth

Word is powerful: It can kill you or bless you. They say that the solution to any problem is just right under your nose, which is the mouth. We just have to proclaim it and believe in it.

Remember that God created things through Words as in :Genesis 1 33  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Jesus said in: Mark 11: 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Jesus is implying that word is powerful, but it can only be done with faith. so, we must speak in faith for the word to become reality. However, there is no man who has such huge or great faith such as God that there is nothing impossible. Human has limited faith and which faith is given by God.

However, Jesus said in Luke 17: 6 6  He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

In Roman  10: 9  If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The word saved here means saved from everything : illnesses, poverty, addiction, relationship problem or any situation that you would want a way out, and the last saved from fires of hell. When Jesus gave Himself to the cross, we indeed receives these bountiful graces. See below verses of God’s bountiful grace aside from salvation.

Hebrews 4:14-16,  14  Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  15  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  16  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hindi ba’t kasabihan na kapag nagsalita ka ng negative , it happens. However, even if you say negative things , but within the realm of your mind is not what you meant, it will still not happen… because mind and words goes together to have its effect. It’s like saying without thinking. If you say it and mean it, there goes the effectiveness of what you declare. Therefore , if we declare things we desire and claimed it to happen….just have to wait to make it happen because God said we need to say it with faith.

Example : Your doctor found illness in you. Your tendency is to think of that illnesses and your focus will be on it. The mind which we base our faith, if we keep it busy and focus on other things and coupled it with God’s word will eventually lose it.

SUGGESTION : Have a daily declaration of God good things in your life in Jesus name.

Mark 8:36-“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

The Grace of God

Grace is unmerited favor from God. It means, we do not deserve to receive, but because of God’s unfailing love, we are abound with grace from Him. Everyone needs a Savior and saving grace comes only from Jesus Christ who is the only Savior. Why some people cannot accept Jesus? Why do they have to go to other gods who cannot do what Jesus has done to us and will be doing favor, once you accept Him. We are all sinners as God said, no one is free of sins and all fall short of His glory. We all missed the mark-the standards of being a godly persons, because of our sinful nature. God understands it, but it doesn’t mean that we should keep on sinning. We must strive hard to overcome it. We can only overcome it through the grace of God which we can received through the power of the Holy Spirit who will guide us upon accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

As Paul said :

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. We can use grace on a daily basis power to forgive sins and to overcome sins.(1Corinthians 15:10).

Grace is a power through the Holy Spirit when Jesus is in your life. Once you accepted Jesus as your Savior, the fullness of God’s grace is at work. Aside from the favor, it enables us power. It’s only through God’s grace that we can be transformed. Only God can changed people.

Ephesians 3:20 :Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us’

Grace can only be done through faith in Jesus Christ.

2 Peter3:18 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Grace does not stop in salvation, but to continue to learn and know about God and the words of God. so that we can live in a supernatural way.

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Therefore, we must share to others the grace that is given to us by being with Christ Jesus.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

His forgiveness is in fullness. We must learn to forgive because God has forgiven us. At dahil tayo ay pinatawad na ng Dios, hindi ba marapat lang na patawarin din natin ang mga taong nagkasala sa atin?

With the grace of God that empowers us, we can now learn to say No to worldly desires, ungodly passions, learn to be humble and to forgive. Grace do not just saves us from sins, but empower us to forgive, too.

Always get ready for His coming

A reminder for Christian Believers or Saints
Put On Christ-ROMANS 13:11-14

11 Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over, and the day is near; so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk with decency, as in the daytime: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and don’t make plans to gratify the desires of the flesh.

The message reminds us again to be ready that the coming of the Lord is near. When we first accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we have been awaken from sleep. The night is almost over and the light is coming, so let us keep focus on the coming light. Take off all those things that we used to do such as :

Drunkenness- Mas madalas pagaraw ng sweldo, nagaayayaan para sa inuman, specially sa trabaho natin, lalut may team building or during parties..kasi masarap maginuman dahil may kasiyahan, but you know what the Bible says about drunkenness?

Isaiah 5:11

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them! –we see this in people, we can call alcoholic

Isaiah 28:7

These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed by wine, they stagger with strong drink, they reel in vision, they stumble in giving judgment.- ang mga taong lasing hindi mo makausap ng maayos, and most of the time, mainitin ang ulo and sometimes leads to quarrel or death.

Proverbs 23:20

Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat-mostly pag drunkards matakaw din sa pagkain.

Proverbs 23:20-21

Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags- I observed this among people in the workplace, any workplace, I could say. Pag mahilig sa inuman , mahilig din sa pagkain. Dumadayo sa malayong lugar upang uminom at kumain hanggang sa mabaon sa utang.

Drinking is one passion of the flesh and of the world. Hindi naman masama ang uminom, but it should be with moderation. Pati na rin sa pagkain. It is also a passion of the flesh. Of course, kailangan nating kumain, but it should always be in moderation. Kaya maraming sakit na lumalabas because of the passion of the flesh.

Sexual Impurity– this involves, same sex, extra-marital relationships, self- sex absorption(mahilig sa phornography). Yung iba naman, they try to covet other’s husband, wife or girlfriend, boyfriend. This is very rampant in any society because the evil spirit is very powerful in this world. So, if you do not have the Words of God to fight these things, it will eat you, it will overcome you and you will be in darkness.

Quarreling and Jealousy- in the family , in the workplace, it is unavoidable. We are of sinful nature, but if you have the strong words of God resting in you , you can overcome these works of the devil.

Jealousy and quarreling can lead to killing and death.

The Book of Proverbs is a book of Wisdom for living a happy, joyful, healthy and peaceful life.

Brothers and sister’s in Christ, the night is almost over and the day is coming. Let’s have a life of decency and put Christ in our life. Let’s always look at the cross and put the world behind you. Salvation is near.

Glory to our Mesiah, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, healer, provider, protector, comforter, deliverer and redeemer! The one and only true God is coming!

Following Jesus

It’s hard to follow Jesus Christ. The Scripture says, Jesus is the only way to the Father, so it’s not the church, nor the religion, or any person, but it’s through Jesus only.

The most important things why we follow Jesus is because He is the only way for us to be saved. He said ” I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Nobody comes to the Father except through Me.

We also follow Jesus because we can come to the Father through Him and ask something in prayer.

We also follow Jesus because we  become children of God and we will  have the right to call the Father, Our Father (SO , not everybody has the right to call the Father, Our Father)

He also said that, whatever we asked in His name it will be given, but we must not doubt, but believe that we will receive it. And, so is the song of Ascent, just look up to the mountain. Neither look sideward, look backward or down because of so many distractions along the path of our  dream or desire. We just have the faith that we will receive what we have prayed, in Jesus name.

See the following verses:

John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son

Matthew 21:22 – And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive

2 Corinthians 6- What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. 17  Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”18  And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

So, if you believe in the idols, you don’t have the right to call the Father, your Father. Remember His first commandment.

John 1:12-13 12  Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—  13  children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God

So, once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have the right to be called children of God, not of biological nature, but of God.

Luke 9:57-62-The cost of Following Jesus

57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”  58 Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” 59 He said to another man, “Follow me.” But the man replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family.” 62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

In these verses we have 3 kinds of people who was invited to follow Jesus. First person says, that he would follow Jesus , however he did not really mean it. There are some Christians who would only come to fellowship because of some reasons like :friends na hindi matanggihan, or magoobserve lamang or for something else. i.e. may girl siyang kilala which he likes a lot and dahil Christians, he would follow the girl, would attend fellowship, but halfhearted . There is another one who consider first the family opinion. This happens normally if some members of the family opposed you to becoming a Christian, especially if the family member is your parents .Another one, would be making alibi to get rid of becoming a Christian because they were hardened with their belief of the true God.

When we follow Jesus, we do not have to look back at something that might be a distraction on our way to following Him. We should be fully committed to His works

Following Jesus and becoming part of His kingdom is a commitment. Let us not be the one considered by God as a heart that was hardened, an ears that cannot hear and have eyes that cannot see.

We have received miracles in our life even if we are not yet committed to the Lord. However, we do not see it as coming from God, but result of lack .

He says in  John 12 :37-40  John 12:37-40,”37 Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.

38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” 39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere: 40 “He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn–and I would heal them.

Still, the Lord said, He would heal them” God never stops loving us even if you rejected Him. He keeps on appealing to you to come to Him using other people, but you do not see it. I used to be one of these people .And, since God loves me, He opened my eyes, so I can see, and hear what I needed to hear. And, now it’s my turn to share it to others.

JESUS SAID IFSOMEONE HAS EAR, LET THEM HEAR. I wish people would understand this message of the Lord.

Are you from the Ephesian church?

Book of Revelation Verse 2-To the Church of Ephesus

1 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.

2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.
5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans( Greek combination of 3 words), which I also hate.
7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Nung bago pa lang tayo sa ating pananampalataya, do you still recall how much you were drawn to it? Just like being in love with loved. Ganun din sa ating pananampalataya. I still recall when I first accepted Jesus Christ, I kept on reading and reading and praying and praying and singing and singing. He was always in my heart and in my mind. I never missed the church or prayer meeting. However, as time goes on specially when I got a job and was so tired and exhausted, sometimes that I find no time for Him. Sandali na lang ang prayer and sometimes I missed going to church. Whenever you are around people specially the unbelievers, naapektuhan ka and what happened yung dati mong naramdaman sa ating Panginoon ay nababawasan.
God does want us not to stop the same thing we did before. We need to keep the heat or ardent love for Him continuously just as His love is enduring. We have to take of 3 things :priority, choice and conviction.

Who is Judas Escariot?

Everybody is asking about  the real thing about Judas part in God’s fulfillment of His plan . We all know that Judas was the  cause for the betrayal of Jesus to fulfill God’s plan. The question was if  God used Judas for His plan and purpose, then He should have been forgiven or he was such a pitiful person to be used for that purpose and should be  shown sympathy and should be given a heroic honor, just like in the song of Lady Gaga where she chose Judas over Jesus.

God had prophesied(God sees future events) what will happened, but it doesn’t mean that God chose Judas to do such things. Our freedom to choose is not restricted by God. It is our free will to choose our destiny, but since God foresees things, He knows that Judas was the  person who will do these things. When Satan entered Judas, he chose to follow Satan instead of the Holy spirit .

In Isaiah 59:1-2 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you,  so that he will not hear.

So, God is always ready for help, however inequities in men is strong .

It’s the will of Judas that made him do such things. From the beginning, the Bible described Judas as a dishonest person. Judas in the beginning was a thief, a liar and Jesus knows this. The question is why did He chose Judas as one of His disciple -to fulfill the Scripture:

In John 12:5-6 , when Mary filled the feet of Jesus Christ with perfume, Judas objected. So, “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages. ”  6  He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it Jesus said, ”leave her alone”.

In Matthew 26: 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man!(which He refers to Judas) It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

John 17:12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled

So, to conclude, Judas does not really believed that Jesus was the Messiah. Sumasama lang siya dahil siya ang parang treasurer ng group and he was interested in money, dahil siya ay magnanakaw. So, when Satan entered Judas to betray Jesus, he chose to do so because he has this evil spirit from the beginning.

Sa ating contemporary life maraming nagkukunwang kaibigan or kasister or brother, pero naninira sayo at yun pala ay may galit or inggit sa yo. Ganun din sa church na kunwaring Christian pero sinisiraan ang mga tao dito at hindi tinutupad ang mga pananagutan bilang isang tunay na Christiano. Ito ang origin ng salitang “Judas spirit”.

Everybody has given the will to ask forgiveness, pero kanino siya huminig ng tawad? Pride is hindering us to ask forgiveness sa mga taong nasaktan natin. So, Judas instead of asking forgiveness to Jesus, he went to the sadduces and Pharisees kung saan binalik niya ang pera. Instead, he committed suicide in remorse of what he did.  Siguro, kung kay Jesus siya humingi ng tawad, marahil Judas is saved. Remember our God is a forgiving God.

So, dapat bang kaawaan si Judas tulad ng sabi ng iba?

The Woman Caught in the Act

Do you know the story of a woman who was caught in the act of adultery by the religious leaders :Pharisees and Scribes?  The Pharisees were the expert of the law and the Scribes were the ones writing the law.

They brought this woman whom they caught in the act of adultery, to tempt or trap Jesus. However, upon saying these,  Jesus bend His head and wrote with His fingers on the ground.

No one knew what was in His mind. Perhaps, we could conclude that these religious leaders would be expecting Jesus not to condemn the woman as He was known to be a gracious forgiving person. However, that will be against the law of Moses or He will be compromising the law. If Jesus had agreed stoning the woman to death, this was not allowed by the Romans for Jews to make such illegal act.

Jesus was writing on the ground with His fingers seems to be an interesting thing about Jesus. At this point , we never knew what’s in Jesus’s mind , but John indicated it in his book which means something. Remember that God wrote the  10 commandment with His fingers. Thus, Jesus and Father are one and the same.

Exodus 31:1818 When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the fingers of God.

Para kasing sinasabi Niya na, ” I was the one who wrote those commandments for you. I am the lawgiver, why would I contradict the law of Moses. And this is what He said:

John 8:3 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”.

Man as a whole easily condemn and without realizing that he or she is also a sinner. This is an attitude that has become a habit of man. Gossip and tearing down a person is a cheap form of entertainment for many people. I’m also a culprit on this, I must admit.

As a true Christian, living in the Word of God is really hard and impossible. So, even true Christian is not exempted. However, having Christ in life can make you feel lesser of condemning people and instead pitying and loving them, by sharing the Gospel. Giving them hope of change in their life for salvation- the very essence of sharing the Words of God.

If you love the person, you would care about him or her, but if not, you wouldn’t care less whether  he is saved or not, wouldn’t you?

Jesus, in this last verse says:

John 8: “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?11 “No one, sir,” she said “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me(JESUS):

SHALOM everybody !
